About Walk 4 Life

Walk England are the sole funders of the Walk4Life site.

Walk England is a social enterprise, our aim is to get more people walking to more places.

We trade as a business and we are not directly funded by anyone. We deliver projects for a range of organisations, large and small. Any profit we make goes back into delivering more walking project

As well as delivering the Walk4Life web portal, and the Walk4Life Miles project we do lots more, including mapping walking routes for doctors to encourage people to walk, looking after walking routes in London, advising local authorities and other organisations on walking, running training events for professionals and the public, and a whole lot more.

Walk England is dedicated to making walking enjoyable for everyone. We understand the barriers to walking, and we work hard to help people remove them.

In the delivery of www.walk4life.info, Walk England were funded by a grant from  the Department of Health and the BIG Lottery Fund.
