About Walk 4 Life

Walk England exists to help people walk more – whether you already like walking and want to know where to go, or don’t walk very much and don’t know how to get started, we’re here to help.

Walk England has 6 staff dedicated to making walking enjoyable for everyone. We understand the barriers to walking, and we work hard to help people remove them.

We don’t have an office – we all work from home, which is anywhere from Newcastle to Cheltenham and lots of places in between. As well as delivering the Walk4Life web portal, and the Walk4Life Miles project we do lots more, including mapping walking routes for doctors to encourage people to walk, looking after walking routes in London, advising local authorities and other organisations on walking, running training events for professionals and the public, and a whole lot more.
