Travel Actively

Travel Actively logoWalk England and Walk4life miles are part of Travel Actively, a portfolio of 50 projects being delivered by the Active Travel Consortium, a partnership of leading walking, cycling and health organisations committed to providing opportunities for 1.8 million people to become physically active through active travel by 2012.

Our aim is to use our knowledge and expertise to create projects that enable inactive people to incorporate active travel into their everyday lives, so they can improve their health and well-being.

The consortium is funded with more than £19.9m from the Big Lottery Fund's Well-being programme, which provides funding to support the development of healthier lifestyles and to improve well-being.

The consortium is led by Sustrans and the members are British Cycling, CTC, Campaign for Better Transport, Cycling England, Living Streets, London Cycling Campaign, the National Heart Forum, the National Obesity Forum, Ramblers, and Walk England.

All of our projects and more information can be found at www.travelactively.org.uk or e-mail info@travelactively.org.uk.
