When you start looking it's amazing how much walking activity is happening - the difficulty sometimes is simply finding out about it. We're always happy to spread the word, so if you know of something happening why not drop us a line. Did you know, for example, you could join in a virtual trek around Nepal without leaving London?
With one year to go until the Olympic Flame arrives in the UK, the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) are looking for torch bearers to carry it on an inspirational 8,000 mile journey around the UK.

Within a week of launching groups and challenges there are more than 25 groups set up on the site. Most groups have signed up to at least one challenge, and one group has already completed their first challenge winning them a gold star, and the 'first group to complete a challenge' award - congratulations to the Kielder Nordic Walkers !

At last you can use the site as a virtual base for your walking group. Do you want more members ? Are you looking for an easy way to tell your existing members where to meet next week, or do you simply want to share comments or chat between your members ? All this is now possible, and more !
