It was the percy pigs, doughnuts and hot dogs that kept me going on the cold trip up Moel Famau in March, cold but throughly enjoyable. Hard to believe, but it was shorts and tshirt by the end of March for a walk in the lakes, and a change to coffee cake and banana bread for fuel to keep me going!

The NW Student Forum's second walk4life was up Moel Famau earlier this month, as Sara has said. It was very cold and windy but was great to see work friends out of the office environment and to get out into the fresh air after a week of work and study, fuelled by the promise of hot dogs if we made it to the top and back!

A group of us got together on Sunday 4th March to walk up Moel Fammua in North wales. though it was cold, it was certainly fresh! - great for us to get together and everyone enjoyed it. The hot dogs at the end seemed to go down well! - there were about 15 of us in the end. More walks planned so please join in. More detials will be in the next NW student newsletter - have a look and join in!

Some members of the NW finance student forum braved teh elements on Sunday to walk from Hoylake to West Kirby. The walk took us acorss the beach, near Hilbre Island and on to West Kirby. Little Jacob (age 11 months) had white knuckles holding on to his pram over the rocks and pools! The children did really well with a well deserved hot chocolate for them mid walk. More walks planned for the Spring - Moel Fammau in Wales next we think. Thanks to you all who came and getting out in the air was great - especially after a late night for Sara!! - see photos at the side of this......

Been out for the lunchtime walk today, rather damp and grey but didnt put 13 of us going our for a walk - we walked quicker today and we got back to the office for 12:25. Managed to do some walking in Angelsey yesterday with sunny skies and on a beautiful beach, just love being in the fresh air!!

Its Thursday again - weather not so good today, but it;s good to get out for some fresh air at lunchtime - rather windy with north Westerly winds -should be interesting along the river! - fingers crossed for the rain to keep off. I dont mind so much, but I think others do. Shirley, Leanne and Sandra say I am an embarrassment as I walk in my old trainers with my nice dress and I look a "sight" - charming!!
