Hi Tommy, I add all my steps in and try to walk at least 5 miles/11,130 steps every day. We are off to Spain soon for 6 weeks and hopefully with sunnier warmer weather that will increase.
At the moment only 4 of us seem to be recording our miles, perhaps if the others record theirs then the target could be met.

A 'little bit about me'..........I am only logging miles from my dedicated walk, and am not adding miles to and from the supermarket etc;
My walk is around a picturesque lake, and quiet, traffic-free, tarmac roads, and has a distance of 2.18 miles.........It takes me 35 to 36 minutes.
My stride is approx.; 30''.....and I walk at the rate of 130 steps per minute. My walk takes approx.; 4600 steps in total and I am burning about 210 calories per walk.
At the moment, I am doing this walk once a day, but I shall try and increase my number of walks to about 9 per week as the evenings get lighter.

35% of the 'long walk' completed, but it will probably be early in May before this challenge is completed (unless this group attracts some more members).
To complete by 1st April, we would need to average more than 40 miles per day (as a group ),whereas at the moment we are averaging less than 20 miles per day.
I think that we may only have completed about 1300 miles of this challenge by the target date.
Sorry if I sound a bit defeatist.
