It's October, the shops are full of jumpers and boots, the leaves are starting to turn, the air feels crisp, the mornings are cool - it's autumn ! I love autumn, the smell in the air, and the hint that the day might turn out clear and bright, but not so hot you don't feel like doing anything, you guessed it - perfect for walking, hence our month long celebration of Walktober. All month we'll be giving away prizes, maps and books to make sure no-one has any excuse not to get out there. 

Walktober give away ! 

Of course, walking in October, you will need to consider taking a waterproof. So to start our Walktober celebrations off we're offering you the opportunity to get your hands on a wonderful new North Face Resolve jacket ! We have 2 jackets to give away, kindly donated by Go Outdoors - www.gooutdoors.co.uk.

The jackets are perfect for this time of year, they are waterproof and breathable, and pack up really small to fit into your rucksack, or work bag. We're offering everyone who records their walks in October the chance to win - simply record 4 or more completed walks by clicking the "I've walked it" button throughout October, and your name will be entered into the draw. We'll pick two names at random on the 1st November. We'll contact the winners by email, so make sure your email address is correct in your profile.
